We are absolutely thrilled to announce the winner of our 2016 ‘Brika – Gold’ remix contest.
First of all, a huge thank you to each and everyone of you who entered the competition. We really appreciate the time, effort and energy you put into remixing the track. It’s truly inspiring to hear how much talent and creativity there is out there!
With so many submitted quality remixes, picking an overall winner was of course no easy decision. However after much consideration, along with our competition partners Brika, Art House Records, Interface Magazine and Sonic City Studios, we’ve got ourselves a winner. Congratulations to Arjan van Zoeren for winning the contest with his remix of Brika’s “Gold” record! He showed us a lot of creativity with the vocal lines editing them and rearranging sentences. Also the song was supported by a strong track build with excellent dynamics throughout the song. Brika says: “I choose his track because I felt out of all the contenders it was the most connected with the song.” Arjan therefor wins the Universal Audio Apollo Twin Duo ánd a day in our Sonic City Studios in Amsterdam with well known studio-engineer Ronald Prent.
Here you can listen to a small excerpt of his remix:
We would also like to congratulate our runners-up Roberto Garruto and Jeroen Ross! But of course, thanks to everyone for participating and submitting really creative and diverse remixes, we were blown away.
Also, a big thanks to our partners:
