London Calling 2026! Abbey Road Institute X Paradiso X Vera On Track

London Calling 2026: Live Recording Collaboration Between Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam, Paradiso & Vera On Track

Two weeks ago, students and alumni from Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam joined forces with Paradiso and Vera On Track during another inspiring edition of London Calling.

Paradiso is one of Amsterdam’s most iconic music venues and cultural centres, located inside a former church building near Leidseplein. Since opening its doors in 1968, Paradiso has become known as the city’s legendary “pop temple,” hosting both world-renowned artists and emerging talent in a unique and intimate setting.

Throughout the festival weekend, selected performances were recorded directly from Paradiso’s in-house recording studio, capturing shows from both the main hall and upstairs room. The studio itself has recently been fully revived through a collaboration between the teams of Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam and Paradiso, creating a professional recording environment at the heart of one of Europe’s most respected discovery festivals.

The day after each show, the recordings were mixed in Studio 1 at Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam on the legendary Neve console, before being broadcast the very same evening on national radio via Vera On Track on NPO 3FM.

The results exceeded expectations, with the production team from Vera On Track expressing how happy they were with both the recordings and mixes delivered by the student and alumni team. A great achievement and another strong example of how hands-on industry collaboration forms an essential part of the Abbey Road Institute experience.

For more than 30 years, London Calling has built an international reputation as a festival where audiences discover artists before their breakthrough. Previous editions featured early performances from acts such as Blur, Slowdive, Fontaines D.C., Tame Impala, Wet Leg, and The Last Dinner Party.

This collaboration marks another exciting step in the ongoing partnership between Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam, Paradiso, and Vera On Track — with more live recordings at Paradiso already planned for the future.
