ADE 2017 – Exciting Feedback Sessions & Masterclasses

Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam & Universal Music Group present:
The ADE-Feedback Sessions (FULL)

During ADE 2017, Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam and its founder Universal Music Group are offering a series of feedback sessions, where professionals from the music industry help to guide new and upcoming artists by giving feedback on their music. On the ADE Thursday – Oct. 19th 2017 – the feedback sessions have a focus on Pop music. This day’s panel will include A&R manager Tijs van Liemt, engineer Emiliano Caballero and producer Ray Richardson, who will give their input on the creative- and technical side of the music, as well as on the potential of the artist on an A&R-point of view.

The sessions will take place at Sonic City Studios (in Q-Factory), the home of Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam.

Masterclass Music Publishing with Robin Simonse (FREE)

On Thursday October 19th, at Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam, Robin Simonse is going to talk about the key aspects you need to know in music publishing. Robin is a musician, but most of all has quite the years of experience with the business side of the music industry. He has worked as managing director at Arcade Music Group, manager licensing at Buma Stemra and he is founder of Popdoctors, a counseling company focused on the music- and entertainment industry.

The masterclass will take place at Sonic City Studios (in Q-Factory), the home of Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam.

Masterclass Ferry Corsten: Immersive music production in Auro-3D (FREE)

On Friday October 20th, at Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam, Ferry Corsten is going to talk about music production in Auro-3D – immersive audio. Due to a unique combination of mixing technology and a 10.1 speaker layout, the Auro-3D® concept, allows producers to create the most natural immersive sound experience on today’s market. Listeners have the sensation of “being there” through speakers or headphones. He is going to explain why he choose to do his production in immersive sound and even includes a listening session of his new album!

The masterclass will take place at Sonic City Studios (in Q-Factory), the home of Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam.

Masterclass MarcoAntonio Spaventi: Synth sequencing & using Ableton as an instrument

On Saturday October 21st at De Brakke Grond, MarcoAntonio Spaventi is going to do yet another exciting masterclass about Electronic Music Production!

From his massive collection synths and other gear, Marco is going to bring a Cirklon Sequencer, Dave Smith Pro2 and Ableton Live with controller. With the use of this gear and various examples, he will show you how to sequence synths externally while using Ableton Live for real time sampling. In other words, how to actually use Ableton as an instrument.

The Italian-born Marco is a professional sound engineer and producer, and is known for his solid technical expertise. He has been working on several projects as a solo and collaborative artist such as the RAG collective or the Crystal Maze duo. This workshop is for any music producer wanting to add that professional touch to their productions. It’s a free workshop without registration, but keep in mind that places are limited.
