The ceremony commenced with warm and inspiring speeches from Jeremy Hufflemann, the General Manager of Abbey Road Studios, Luca Barassi, CEO of Abbey Road Institute, and the directors of each institute. In Amsterdam’s case, Jasper Derksen, Abbey Road Institute’s Campus Director, shared words of encouragement and wisdom. Additionally, a magical performance unfolded; Julio Reyes Copello, director of Abbey Road Institute Miami and Grammy-winning producer of the year, joined forces with Joaquina, a recent graduate from the Miami Institute, to deliver a beautiful rendition of Joaquina’s song “Los Mejores Años”, enchanting the attendees.

The Pinnacle of Achievement

As the ceremony progressed, each graduating student was called to the stage to receive their well-deserved diplomas, marking the culmination of their educational journey. Following the ceremony, attendees could freshen up and enjoy a meal before heading to one of London’s most prestigious clubs, the Egg, for the official graduation party. They were privileged to participate in workshops led by industry experts Julio Reyes Copello and Haydn Bendall. These workshops took place at Abbey Road Studios, Studio 3, and Angel Studios, where Abbey Road Institute London is based.

In Julio Reyes Copello‘s workshop, the graduates witnessed the recording of a 15-piece orchestra for a commercial project. The award-winning producer/composer/arranger/conductor and director of Abbey Road Institute Miami, showcased his exceptional vision and working style, leaving the participants in awe. They gained invaluable insights into the Latin Music scene and were inspired by Julio’s remarkable talent.

Haydn Bendall, the renowned engineer/producer, led the second workshop. Graduates had the privilege of observing the recording and production process of artist Jessi Mac and her band at the legendary Angel Studios in London. Through this live recording session, they discovered innovative ways of revealing the true artistry of musicians. Haydn Bendall‘s expertise and experimental approach left an indelible impression on the participants, who relished the unique experience.
