Cancelled event: We had a fully sold out event, which was so exciting. But …
Unfortunately while travelling to Europe, Seth got really sick. He’s currently in his room sleeping but he is in no shape to do the seminar tomorrow. We’re really sad this happened at this time. We’ll obviously process refunds right away. Once he feels better, he will also create a nice personal video for the registered guests, with some some tips that you can hopefully use.
And in the meantime, we’ll try to see when we can get him to come back to Europe and we’ll try to reorganise this. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions: amsterdam@abbeyroadinstitute.com
Mastering engineer, producer and composer Seth Drake is coming to visit us at Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam, and will be doing a seminar on August 13th 2016! Seth, currently based in San Francisco, is known for his work with Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, Ellie Goulding, Nina Simone and many more.
He will be giving a 2 hour Masterclass covering everything you need to know about low frequencies in your productions. You will also get the chance to have Seth Drake answer your questions, during a 30 minutes’ post Q&A.
To start with, Seth will talk about removing the genre from low frequency content and will cover traditional components that make up low frequency content. He is thereby going to describe ways to produce those low frequency contents, such as
– pitfalls;
– things to look out for (like phasing, tuning, timing and frequency range);
– management of low frequency content with dynamics, filtering, side chains, etc.
Seth will also talk about how to make sure your low end translates from earbuds to stadiums.
The seminar runs from 2pm to 5pm, costs 20 euros and has limited attendance. Abbey Road Institute students have free access.
