Ever wanted to look inside the production of Grammy Awards winning producer? Then we have the ultimate opportunity for you! For all you creative music minds we have an equally creative challenge. But that’s not everything, you also get the chance to win an Universal Audio Apollo Twin Duo and spend a day in the studio with none other than Ronald Prent.
The goal of the contest? To be as creative as possible! Grammy Award winning producer Julio Reyes Copello (known for working with artists Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, Alejandro Sanz, Nelly Furtado) has been so kind to offer us the multi-track session from his “Brika – Gold” record, released from his Art House Records label. You can remix the track however you want. Want to mix the track in a completely different genre? Why not, it’s all up to you! You will not be judged on sound quality, but solely on the creativity you have put into the remix. And believe us, there is a lot possible with this track.
The winner of this competition will get a Universal Audio Apollo Twin Duo, as well as a day in our Sonic City Studios in Amsterdam, with well-known studio engineer Ronald Prent. Prent has worked with artists like Simple Minds, Common Linnets, Manowar, Rammstein, Peter Maffay and Hooverphonic.
Abbey Road Institute is dedicated to fostering talent and share its passion for music. It would be great if you could help us in supporting creators and therefore following our terms and conditions. This means you can not release this remix commercially by yourself. It is also not allowed to share the downloaded files. Fill out the form below to get access to the files and start producing. Deadline
Even though there is no deadline for creativity, we have to maintain one for this competition. You can submit your track until midnight August 14th. Your entry will be judged by Abbey Road Institute, Art House Records and the Interface staff and you will hear from us by August 24th.
